Third Reich SS dagger and scabbard by Hammesfahr, Meine Ehre Heisst Treue to blade, maker's mark Gottleib Hammesfahr Solingen Foche in oval around tent with Red Cross, crossguard marked III for Berlin district, black ebony handle with eagle and SS runes inset, no knicks to blade, scabbard missing 50% paint and showing light rust in areas of no paint, pommel nut is 1mm loose allowing handle and crossguard to move about, otherwise very fine.
