A Chinese famille rose 'Les Plaisirs du Printemps' cup and saucer, Qianlong

The design portrays a charming scene of twofigures engaged in conversation while reclining beneath a tree. Above them, a putto hovers. Thefigures are surrounded by their dogs and a group of goats, all set in a landscape.After the engraving "Les plaisirs du Printemps" by Jean-Michel Moreau le Jeune, published in thework "Choix de Chansons mises en Musique"Paris, 1773.
