Within the lid a flap, secured with a white metal catch, dropping to reveal a watered silk lined compartment with bellowed green leather stationery sleeve, bearing a paper label 'Palmer 1 St Jame's St, Manufacturer to the Royal Family'. The stamp box, travelling inkwell and jar tops bear silver hallmarks for London, 1834 with maker's mark 'T.D' likely to be Thomas Diller. Note the white metal tops for the two small inkwells have no hallmarks. Each lid bearing a crest of a rampant lion with staff. 26.5cm x 17cm x 12cm.
We can confirm the mirror is stained and has some spoiling to the leather work, the interior lining is in good condition for age, some spoiling to some of the interior. The drawer is a little stiff to get in and out an does not slide well. The outer exterior carries various wear and scratches but overall condition is good. There is some staining to the interior of the glass items. Overall condition is good, would benefit from a clean.
