A 19th century needlework sampler, attributed to Sarah Elwood, October 4th 1825, with text entitled “A WISH”, above which feature the alphabet and numbers, various flowering plants and a vase of flowers, the lower section featuring two dogs, crowns, and two birds each atop tall flowering plants, approx. 49.5 cm by 35 cm, including the period Hogarth frame
The text has colour run, as does the section with name and date.
