Ehret & Trew - Mimosa from Plantae Selectae 1750.

This beautiful print of the Mimosa was drawn by Georg Dionysius Ehret for Plantae Selectae quarum imagines ad exemplaria naturalia Londini, in hortis curiosorum nutrita by Christoph Jakob Trew from the first edition published in Nuremberg, 1750.

The prints were engraved by Johann Jacob Haid and are on light creamy watermarked chain linked paper in excellent condition.

The original hand-colouring is very subtle, with beautiful contrasts in the leaves and flowers and the first word of each title is highlighted in gold.

Each print measures approximately 21in x 15 in (54cm x 37cm).

Excellent condition - please review the image carefully
