A George II silver salver, with a pie crust edge, on four scroll and shell feet, John Swift, London 1736, approx. 40.2 ozt, 34.5 cm diameter See illustration
Report by GH
A couple of possible solder repairs to the tops of the legs where they meet the tray.
Maker's stamp half rubbed or possibly just not very well struck originally.
Slight warping overall to salver.
General wear and tear and scratches. Generally sits nice and flat.
Report by RB
Generally good, some scratches, there is a small split where one of the feet meets the underside of the salver, as if someone has pressed down on it, marks well struck with exception of the maker's mark which is only about 60/70% struck
