Attributed to Giambattista Tiepolo (1696-1770), Study of Angels and Elders for a ceiling fresco, pen and ink wash on laid paper, 36.5 x 25 cm, unframed (rolled), with a signed certificate of authenticity dated January 2023; and a print after Thomas Rowlandson from Dr Syntax, 15.5 x 23 cm The certificate is signed on behalf of the 'Collezione Montemarte Ansidei Signorelli', explaining that this is one of 35 works made in 1746 by G B Tiepolo to be presented to a commissioning committee. The certificate states that the album of 35 works had always been the property of the family.
