Obverse: veiled and crowned head of Queen Victoria by George William de Saulles after Thomas Brock. Legend reads 'VICTORIA ANNVM REGNI SEXAGESIMVM FELICITER CLAVDIT XX IVN · MDCCCXCVII ·'. Reverse: youthful effigy of Queen Victoria after William Wyon with laurel branches by truncation; the divided inscription reads 'LONGITVDO DIERVM IN DEXTERAEIVS ET IN SINISTRA GLORIA' with '1837' below. Weight: 87.64g. Diameter: 56mm. Presented in the original red leather cases with a crown and the anniversary dates (1837-1897) on the lid.
