Halley, A Pair of Early XIX Century Handpainted Porcelain Plates of Ornithological Studies, each named specimen bird in it's natural habitat, within gilt borders, having pendant husks and trailing foliage, both gilt painted 'Halley' in italics to back (one repaired) 23.5cm diameter. (2)

Lot 1010 - 1) Plate 1 - has been glued together, it has broken into several pieces, restoration to edge, 8cm long and 6cm long, badly painted over, pitting. 2) Plate 2 - pitting, scratching to centre, hairline crack to back, 4cm dear of restoration to edge, badly painted over, chip to border which has been gilded over.
