A FIRST AND SECOND WORLD WAR GROUP OF SIX TO THE ROYAL MARINE LIGHT INFANTRY. A group of six comprising 1914-15 Star named to CH 18334 Pte F.W. Newman R.M.L.I. War Medal and Victory Medal to Newman as Lance Corporal, Second World War Defence and War Medal unnamed as issued, George V Long Service and Good Conduct Medal named to CH 18334 F.W.C. Newman MNE RN. Mounted as worn. Frank Walter Cardinal Newman was born on the 29th April 1895 at Ipswich. He joined the Royal Marine Light Infantry on the 15th January 1914 in London. He received his LSGC on the 24th March 1929 with a gratuity of £20. He was discharged on the 14th January 1935. He was recalled to duty in September 1939 and released August 1945. Mounted for display with copied research.
