A Japanese set of Kyoto Art Museum Encyclopaedias; 12 Volumes, bound in cloth and housed in a hand-tied case; entitled Kyoto Bijutsu Taikan - Survey of the Arts in Kyoto, to include:
Volume 1 - Architecture, Volume 2 - Garden, Volume 3 - Tea Room, Volume 4 - Painting, Volume 5 - Painting, Volume 6 - Sculpture, Volume 7 - Under Engraving, Volume 8 - Portrait, Volume 9 - Stone Art, Volume 10 - Crafts, Volume 11 - Handwritten Documents, Volume 12 - Historical Temples and Shrines.
Published, April 1933 to February 1934 (Showa Era, Japan) by Toho Shoin, Tokyo and limited to 500 copies. Volume 12 includes a copy of the original application form that would be sent to the publisher in return for a copy of the Encyclopaedia.
