Star Lot: A rare original late 80s/ early 90s photograph of legendary Irish celtic punk band "The Pogues" hand signed in marker bottom right by the famous photographer Andrew Catlin. Caitlin made his name for filming and photographing music's biggest names in the 80s and 90s, and whose works was used as cover art for numerous albums. Originals such as these are exceedingly rare to market, the few that are available go for the mid to high hundreds. This is not a digital print, but an original authentic 1980s photograph.
Provenance: A collector of 1970s-80s prints, posters and photography of music and Irish interest.
Andrew Catlin is an English photographer, artist, director, cinematographer and filmmaker. His work has been widely published, and is included in numerous collections, books, exhibitions and archives including the National Portrait Gallery London.
