A Persian Persian Qur’an in a Finely Tooled Leather Binding,19th–20th Century.
A complete Persian Qur’an manuscript, dating from the early 19th to early 20th century, presented in a beautifully preserved and finely crafted leather binding. The manuscript features neatly ruled text in black naskh script with rubrics and diacritical marks in red, surrounded by double-line gold and black borders. Contained within a gilt-decorated slipcase, the Qur’an includes an inscription attributing the work to the hand of Ali Youssef, a known scribe active during this period. The exterior binding is adorned with intricate geometric and floral motifs in gold on black, bordered by red leather trim
