Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife miscellaneous type, the hilt and crossguard are cast on to the tang, black hilt with rows of rings for grip, hint of blueing to the blade. Blade is 17cm, overall length 30.3cm, good very fine. The leather scabbard with 2 studs at throat and retaining press stud loop. Ron Flook page 72 notes "The true origin of these Commando knives, similar to the USMC Stiletto, is unknown, but a large number have turned up in this country and it is thought that they do originate from Britain."
