Kegan Paul, Trench, Trubner, 1922, 1st edition, 63 plates with numerous illustrations of works from the author’s collection, 22 of these colour-printed and with captioned tissue-guards, title-page printed in black and red, pp. xvi, 382, folio, original quarter beige cloth with blue boards, backstrip lettered in gilt on a blue leather label, device stamped in blind to upper board, dustjacket with plate laid down to front panel.
A revision and enlargement of the author '1920 book on the subject, which is, Stewart's Preface clarifies, 'virtually a new work...constituting a catalogue raisonne of all the most notable prints of Ukiyoye produced during the polychrome period'. Scarce in the dustjacket.
