1854 India GSM Pegu clasp to Adjt E. Borrowes 80th Regt and 1857 Indian Mutiny Medal no clasp to Lieut & Adjt E. Borrowes 80th Regt, minor contact marks, very fine and better. Erasmus Borrowes was slightly wounded at Fort Simree 9/11/58. Only 15 casualties listed to the regiment for the Mutiny.
He purchased his Ensign in 56th Foot 13/5/52, to 80th Foot 28/5/52, appointed Adjt 8/4/53, promoted Lieut 1/5/53, Capt 24/5/59, Maj 25/5/65. With copied Mutiny roll confirming he was present with the expedition to Hurra 5/4/58 and Campaign in Oude Oct 1858 to January 1859, roll confirms wounded.
