A smokebox numberplate, 42815, from a LMS Class 4 2-6-0 built at Horwich in 1929 as No 13115, becoming 2815 in 1934 and BR 42815. At Speke Junction by January 1948 and later Crewe, both North and South, Stockport and Edge Hill from where it was withdrawn in September 1964 and sold for scrap to Wards at Sheffield. In ex loco condition except that the numbers are repainted over the original paint. (Postage Band: D)
