Early RAF Interest - two 1920s personal photograph albums belonging to a Pilot in the RAF Royal Air Force appearing to be based at RAF Catterick.
The first album filled with personally taken images of the gentleman's exploits c1925. Includes photographs of: RAF Catterick Airfield (and the planes upon it), views inside huts, airmen relaxing, training, early Bristol and Avro aircraft, planes landing, a squadron photograph of B Flight No.13 (AG) Squadron, trips to Glastonbury, RAF barracks in Kohat, lots of vehicle interest photographs, many photographs of crashed aircraft (usually annotated with the pilot who crashed it), 1926 Air Display, photographs from the King's Cup Race at Filton (Bristol) 1925, photographs of airfields taken from planes, and many other views. A well filled album.
The second album features more images from the same Pilot but this time all showing his time based in India, and includes photographs of: Karachi, RAF buildings in Kohat, several images of one 'JHP' including his RAF offices and motor car, shooting cup competition, various camps, squadron picnics, squadron photograph of A Flight Miran Shah Fort, crashed aircraft, a crocodile hunting trip, and many others.
