CHATEAU/MAISON BICETRE PRISON - THE RED "C.B." & "60/Mon.B." (2 SIZES) MARKS ON COVERS; 13 Apr. 1792 small EL sent within Paris charged "3" (sous) with a very fine red handstruck "C.B." (Chateau Bicetre Prison) on the front and what appear to be the prison censor's initials inside sent unsealed; plus similar fine pair of 11 Mar. 1793/17 Sept. 1811 ELs (the first also sent unsealed) sent locally in Paris with very fine small orange-red "60/Mon. B." or larger red "60/Mon. B." both on the front (the first with cancelled postal charge being addressed to the Legislative Committee, the other charged "20" (?). Rare trio.
