DRESDEN, CARL THIENE, AUGUSTUS REX, A PAIR OF FINE LATE 19TH CENTURY HARD PASTE PORCELAIN POTSCHAPPEL FIGURES OF A GENTLEMEN GARDENER AND HIS FEMALE COMPANION
Both painted in polychrome glazes, in 18th Century costume with bocage behind, raised on Blanc de Chine Rococo scroll bases, bearing blue underglazed Dresden - Augustus Rex, together with an early 20th Century Meissen porcelain trumpet vase, painted to both sides with Deutsche Alpine flowers against a white lustre ground, bearing blue underglazed crossed swords mark.
(Dresden h 12cm, Meissen h 13.5cm)

Condition: very good, small damage, repair to Meissen base, a few tiny chips towards Dresden bocage
