Connell, London, a lady's gold open-face pocket watch the gold dial with engraved decoration to the centre, blued steel spade hands and black Roman numerals, the three-quarter plate single-fusee movement having a lever escapement with a plain gold balance and engraved Connell, 83 Cheapside, London, No. 6035, the case and inner cuvee hallmarked for 18ct gold, London 1852 and stamped with the casemaker's initials R.R., quite possibly for Robert Rutland, diameter 38mm, total weight ca. 44.68gms.
