A bronze sculpture by Alfred Dubucand (1828-1894), depicting an Egyptian standing with a mule, on oval base, signed AE.DUBUCAND, height 21cm.

NB - Alfred Dubucand was a French artist known for his small-scale bronze sculptures of animals. He was a student of the famed Antoine-Louis Bayre in Paris and exhibited at the city’s salon from the late 1860s through the 1880s.

Good patination
No foundry mark noted , but looking at the base certainly looks 19th century. In my opinion original , but please make your own assumptions
