AN AFGHANISTAN MEDAL 1878-80 WITH KABUL CLASP TO THE 9TH FOOT (NORFOLK REGIMENT). An Afghanistan medal with Kabul clasp named to 1494 Pte R. Dawson 2/9th Foot. Born in Kings Lynn in Norfolk c.1858 and attested in Great Yarmouth for the 9th Regiment of Foot on the 23rd May 1877. Stationed in Kabul he returned to the UK in 1883 where he was discharged to the Reserve after 6 years and 210 days with the colours. Mounted for display with copied research.
