A PLATINUM EMERALD & DIAMOND CLUSTER RING, THE RECTANGULAR CUT EMERALD SET WITHIN A SURROUND OF 18 DIAMONDS. THE EMERALD OF APPROX 4.5 CARATS, THE DIAMONDS APPROX 0.9 CARATS. MADE BY HAMILTON & CO CALCUTTA 1957 WITH ORIGINAL RECEIPTS. Provenance: The Emerald Was Originally Part of A Much Larger Uncut Stone Purchased by Hamilton & Co From the Wife of a Local Raj Who Was Raising Funds to Pay Death Duties. The Vendors Father Purchased Part of The Emerald & Hamilton & Co made the Ring.
Ring Size: S. Emerald is a medium light green with very good transparency, some eye visible inclusions. Measures: 10.5 x 8.9mm & 7mm deep. There are some minor abrasions to the facet edges commensurate with age & use. Diamonds are bright & well-matched, with some inclusions. Weight: 6.6g. Overall in good condition.
