WW1 Manchester Pals Underage Jewish Soldiers Group of Three Medals. Awarded to 11074 Private Ronald Napthali who at the age of 17 enlisted into the 18th (3rd City) Bn Manchester Regiment. Comprising: 1914/15 Star (small stamping NAPTHALI), British War Medal, Victory Medal (NAPHTALI). Medals loose. Private Ronald Napthali was born in November 1898 at Chorlton on Medlock Manchester to Jewish parents that ran an undertakers in the town. Working as a farm hand he volunteered in January 1915 and landed in France on the 18th November 1918. He is confirmed as serving with E Company of the 3rd Manchester City Oals Battalion. He was discharged in January 1919.
