A smokebox numberplate, 45588, from a LMS Jubilee Class 6P No 5588 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 24146 in December 1934 and named KASHMIR on 9 October 1936 after a State of the then Empire of India. It became BR 45588. Allocated new to Crewe North on 28 November 1934, it moved in May 1937 to Blackpool North where it remained for twenty years before moving to Carlisle Upperby in November 1958 and finishing its days at Kingmoor from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 1 May 1965 and sold for scrap to Motherwell Machinery & Scrap at Wishaw.
