N.Y.', the interior has a printed and written inventory code label 'W/A/W/285', this jewellery case formed part of lot 2246 in Sotheby's Duke & Duchess of Windsor auction, September 11-19 1997, together with a Stanley China Edward VIII Coronation mug, height 8cm and two books, a paperback titled 'Secret Lives of The Duchess of Windsor' by Charles Higham and a hardback 'Wallis & Edward Letters 1931-1937' edited by Michael Bloch (4) (Condition report: comes with the Sotheby's lot label, the front exterior is very slightly faded, very light transference of colour to the kid lining of the outer flaps, comes with a photocopy of the original lot description, the Harry Winston website states that the Duke & Duchess met Harry Winston for the first time in 1948, the business moved to a new address on 5th Avenue, New York in 1960, books in used condition, mug in good condition but crazed)
