C.E Juncker Berlin WWI Prussian Pilots badge awarded to Franz Josef Walz (1885-1945), he then went on to be a WWII Luftwaffe General with the nickname - The Eagle of Jericho.
The badge has the additional engraving of Pour Le Merite along with Walz flying number and date of presentation.
WW2 General’s often continued to wear their WW1 awards.
A 2017 Israeli stamp also featured Walz’s image as well as his Pilot’s badge and was produced for the Centenary of Israeli flying!.
