1840 Southgate No.3 'Peg-leg sailor' Mulready caricature. Very fine used example sent from Louth to Gainsborough, paid in cash as indicated by a red manuscript 'P1', dated at foot by sender JU.15.1840. Black Louth dispatch UDC on reverse. Very scarce so fine.
