WW1 British War Medal and Victory Medal Pairs. First Pair awarded to 32952 PTE M.J. STENNING THE QUEENS. & 34228 CPL F.G. WALDRON MGC. Both confirmed awarded the pair only. With a quantity of research. (2 Groups) Private Montague Stenning a native of Cheam in Surrey enlisted into the Queens Regiment on the 12th December 1915. Transferred to the reserve he saw service with the Middlesex Regiment, the Labour Corps and later the Buffs. Corporal Frederick George Waldron volunteered for service with the 3/1st West Somerset Yeomanry in April 1915. In May 1916 he transferred to the MGC and embarked to Basra in November 1917.
