D'ESPAGNE" on the front with good campaign contents from son to father; "La ville est bloquee et nous nous preparons a ouvrir la tranchee. L'equipage du siege finira d'arriver cette semaine..." (the city duly fell into French hands on 10 July 1810). Plus small 19 Feb. 1811 EL (faint ink used for address; family letter from son to mother) from "Burgos" to Paris charged "10" (dec.) with chisel-slit for disinfection and mainly very fine "No.24/AR[M.] FRANCAISE/EN ESPAGNE" on the front.
