A locomotive nameplate, STRATHCLYDE, from a BR Class 47 No D1936 built by Brush Traction, Works No 698, in March 1966 and allocated new to Cardiff Canton. Renumbered 47494 in February 1974 and 47706 in June 1979 when it was named at Haymarket Depot, one of a series of Scottish themed names given to Class 477xx locos chosen to work the Edinburgh-Glasgow service. The nameplates were removed in April 1986. Withdrawn from Crewe Diesel in April 1995 and cut up the following August by M.R.J. Phillips at Adtranz Crewe.
