Provenance: 2nd: 1) Walter Bowman of Logie (d. 1782), Fife, Scotland, antiquary and travelling tutor to Francis Seymour-Conway, 2nd Marquess of Hertford (1743-1822), appointed by his pupil's father and rewarded by him with the Comptrollership of the Port of Bristol. Bowman apparently left whimsical directions viz. the arrangement and preservation of his library at Logie. Ink MS inscription to verso of title-page. 2) Robert James Hayhurst (1929-2016), bibliophile, his pictorial bookplate.
