A Channel Islands silver Trefid spoon, maker GS (Jersey circa 1690-1722) the GS surmounted by a Fleur-de-Lys and a coronet struck once, owners initials GC scratch engraved, weight 23 grams, 16.5cm. long. * The presence of the fleur-de-lys on this spoon indicates that this silversmith was of Huguenot descent.
General wear and scratched through usage, a slight nick to edge of bowl. Old repair between terminal and bowl. Makers mark and owners initials crisp.
