W. Avery & Sons of Redditch - 'Cupids Casket' - A 19th century Victorian circa. 1870's mechanised mechanical brass flat case brass needle case. The case having with central repousse cupid with bow drawn surrounded by intricately engraved foliates with ribbon banner above to read 'Cupids Casket'. Beneath the cupid there being a flower shaped wheel influencing concealed mechanism that individually lifts up each of the original sheet metal needle booklet for the user to choose from. Marked Registered June 24th 1872. Measures 55cm length.
