Artist Norman Wilkinson was a versatile, stylistically diverse painter and illustrator who specialized in marine and maritime art, and in lithographic travel poster design. His media ranged from watercolors to oils and from etchings to drypoint, including combination watercolors over graphite and oil and charcoal on canvas. Norman Wilkinson paintings hang in British maritime, university, and naval and war museums, including the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of British Arts.
