by William Eley II, London 1824, of elegant campana form, the detachable liner applied with a collar richly cast with fruiting vines, above gently rounded sides finely engraved front and back with a crest and the motto ISTO VELOCIOR VITA, above a band of boldly scrolling foliage which issues substantial and beautifully cast vine handles, the underside richly clad with acanthus leaves, raised on a stepped, faceted foot with a finely detailed leaf collar to the shoulder framing a spiral of further acanthus leaves, the liner and vase each numbered 286. 30.5cm high, 153 troy ounces
