λ A 19th century hand painted and signed silk and ivory fan, the guards carved with a simple foliate design, the sticks carved and pierced centrally with a butterfly, flowers and leaves, the leaf delightfully painted with a scene of a young boy having a thorn removed from his foot by his mother whilst his sister mops his brow, indistinctly signed lower left, paste stones and suspension loop at rivet, length 23.5cm
