A Victorian matched four piece silver tea set, decorated all over with in repousse depicting joyful scenes including figures dancing, playing music, drinking, floral decoration with green man masks, cherubs and scrolls, the spirit kettle with rattan handle, height 31cm and sucrier, length 12cm, by John Wilmin Figg, London 1863, the tea pot, length 15cm and cream jug, height 9cm, by Joseph Angell II, London 1862, gross wt. 58ozt, the tea pot with ivory insulators, exempt on account of the item being made prior to 1947 and containing less than 10% ivory by volume, ref. XH4RAGFP
Condition - generally very good, appears damage/repair free, appears free from any major dings, dents, creases nor any holes, general wear including slight rubbing to some areas, particularly to the faces of the figures on the teapot, wear to gilding on sucrier, slight rubbing to hallmarks, generally ok, kettle missing securing pin, some feet slightly bent, kettle wt. 1188.4g, total weight of the four pieces combined 58ozt, teapot length 15cm.
