A FINE JACOBS DOUBLE BARREL RIFLE BY SWINBURN & SON, 1860. A double barrelled Jacob's Percussion rifle with 59cm barrels with four broad rifling grooves, the bayonet fixing marked 'S & S B 170'. With rising 'ladder' sight for up to 2000 yards. Rammer mounted below the barrels. With twin percussion firing action, the lockplate marked 'Swinburn & Son 1860' to both sides. With twin triggers and scrolling trigger guard, with twin strap mounts, the walnut stock with patchbox, the cover engraved Jacob's Rifles. 103cm overall *Condition: Surfaces cleaned, a nice example of this interesting gun. Action functions correctly.
