IN Consequence of the Alarm which has been excited in the Public Mind by the recent Failure of two Banks in a Neighbouring County, We, the undersigned Merchants and Tradesmen of Alnwick, having the most unlimited Confidence in the Solidity of the undermentioned Banks, do hereby undertake to receive the Notes of all the said undermentioned Banks in Payment to any Amount: SIR M. W. RIDLEY, AND Co. SIR CHARLES LORAINE AND Co. R. J. LAMBTON, ESQ. AND Co. MESSRS. REEDS, BATSON, AND Co.} Newcastle. MESSRS. BATSONS, REEDS, BERRY, AND Co.} Tweed Bank, Berwick.", followed by a list of approximately 120 prominent merchants & tradesmen. 220mm x 280mm, printed by J. Graham, Alnwick.
