WW1 BWM, Victory Medal, WW2 Defence Medal, BWM and Territorial Decoration (1944) with 3 clasps to Lieut D.J. Cossar nearly very fine to extremely fine, swing mounted as worn. With 5 original photos in uniform including RAF with wings and medal ribbons.
With range of copied and hand written research, David James Cossar was commissioned from Officer Cadet into Royal Scots 28/3/17, served with 1/7th Bn, transferred to RAF for pilot training 15/7/18, flew DH6, did not get posted overseas once qualified as still at 20 Trg Wing 10/12/18. Appointed Lieut with 8th Bn Royal Scots for Reserve of Officers 21/4/39, TD awarded while with R Scots 20/4/44, transferred to RAOC 30/6/46, promoted Capt 28/5/47, relinquished his commission on reaching age limit 23/4/48. All 3 clasps to TD in London Gazette dated 8th September 1953 where he listed as Retired. (See photo) (R)
