WW1 British Cavalry School Compass. Maker marked on dial "JH Steward, London". Lid marked "Cavalry School Compass No 258" along with WD Broad Arrow. Provenance: The private collection of Bradbury, deceased, and formerly contained in their private Museum at Clay Cross.
Cleaned overall with old Brasso metal polish to dial. No original black painted finish remaining.
