A late 19th century Continental violin, with 14in two piece back, bearing label inscribed 'Gio Paulo Maggini, Breseia 1644', with bow and case.
Two large cracks and various smaller cracks to front. No wood worm. Surface scratching/denting and rubbing. Backboard coming away from side of base join.
