A coin-operated arcade machine Uncle Sam Strength Tester, cast iron bust in the form of Uncle Sam, hand painted in the colours of the United States, with striped tails and star spangled top hat, with cast iron upper display depicting the title Shake Hands With Uncle Sam, amount needed to play (25 cent) and the subtitle "He will tell you the strength of your personality", on an oak base lockable door on the rear, opens to reveal workings and cash drawer (key included), on four cast iron claw style feet, 192 x 42 x 43cm (including outstretched arm), insert a coin into a slot located on his chest, grab his hand and squeeze, an articulated brass finger compresses, determining the amount of force used, results are shown on a dial with numbers ranging from 0-390, determining your grip strength, other models would have comments rather than numbers such as "Tax Cheat", "Strong Willed", "Hot Stuff" and more.
