UNITED STATES - RARE 1/- "K IN CIRCLE" VARIETY: 16 July 1864 env. from Havant to Wisconsin bearing a marginal 1862 1/- green plate 2 KD, centred to foot but clearly showing the rare "K" in circle variety (SG 90a - £2,300 off cover). The right margin is a little trimmed and some slight wrinkling. A major rarity.
