Of Napoleonic War interest; A 19th-century bullion thread worked for a devotional panel depicting the Holy Mother and infant Jesus on ivory silk, bearing a handwritten inscription verso, detailing that it was obtained from a Spanish officer in the battle of Coruna in 1809 by a lieutenant of the 16th (?) Hussars. Also bearing a Curator, Loan Collection Exhibition, Drill Hall, Friars Bridge Road, Ipswitch. 38 cm x 24 cm the fabric size excluding the later frame.

By the label, this was lent by the Crisp family a prominent family of maltsters and grain merchants from the Ipswitch area.
