A Chinese jade inro, late Qing Dynasty, circa 1900. With opposing central panels of foliage, height 5.3cm, width 3.2cm, depth 2cm. The vendor inherited the collection from his father in 2015. The vendors father inherited the collection in the late 1950's from his Aunt Blanche Gertrude Ealand who preferred to be known as Heather and was born in 1903. She was best friends with the famous artist Dame Laura Knight and there is a well known painting showing Blanche dressed in her hunting and fishing attire and holding a shotgun.
