A rare novelty Scottish silver and hardstone snuff box fashioned as a curling stone, John Tait Kirkwood, Edinburgh, 1910, of typical circular form, the top half with handle and ornate foliate and scroll engraving, interspersed with crescent shaped hardstone decoration, pulling off to reveal gilt interior, 1 7/8in. (4.8cm.) diameter, gross weight 1.66 tr.oz. * Condition: Very light wear with tint flea-bite dents and surface wear,makers mark slightly rubbed, very good.
