A ROYAL SCOTS FUSILIERS CRUCIFORM HILTED SWORD, the sword has vines and thistles engraved on to it plus the Royal Crown, a Coat of Arms and a GRV Cipher, there's also the Royal Scots Fusiliers badge and the latin motto Nemo ME Impune Ladessit, the blade has the gold coloured proof mark and R.P. Mackenzie 2nd September 1914, above the fusiliers badge is 5th Battalion, the scabbard is leather and metal but needs some slight attention, Mr Mackenzie was a 2nd Lietenant during WW1, please note there is a Ronald Patrick Mackenzie who was serving with the 5th battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers and was killed in action on the 19th April 1917, Customers must satisfy themselves prior to sale in regards to conditions and authenticity, viewing is advised, condition reports are available on request
